Catching Up With The Porti

June 27, 2009

Summer is here. It's been a while since we posted, so let's catch up a little.

Travis is half-way through his Master's Program at the University of Illinois and went to Chicago/Champagne/Urbana again. While there, he caught a game at Wrigley Field.

He was very excited to be there. Really nice weather!

Little kids are good tools for fetching foul balls:

Rain has fallen, and my rain barrel has overflowed (Mmmm. Yummy!):

And the rain has made my two tomato plants grow (there is one tiny tomato in there somewhere):

I'm really loving the petunia "wave" mutation:

This is the extent of our "garden", unfortunately. The two tomatoes and one strawberry has to stay in the front yard to avoid garbage-gut Brando. Baby steps—hopefully we'll find a place in our small, clay, mostly shady yard for more produce, someday...

Summer haircuts have begun. I'm happy to order the short cute "wedge" on Julia's hair until she has her own opinion (which she doesn't, yet):

Sammy the pig is getting some yard time in:

I'm so surprised she doesn't bolt. Good little pig.

Julia at Ann Morrison Park:

HAPPY SUMMER!
