One Year Later
Memorial Day Weekend, May 2009
Time flies! This weekend last year, we were hosting a little party. A PAINTING party.

Thank you, both sets of Moms and Dads, for coming to help us paint our house and design and install a rain barrel this time last year.
Above: not a great shot, but I wanted to show off our groovy lizard.
Hopefully over the next couple years, both the front and back yards will look much different. We need to completely rethink "grass" (which doesn't grow well in our clay soil anyway) and think "native plants". Especially in our back yard, which is so cute and cozy, and could easily be one of those amazing "outdoor rooms" you see in Sunset and stuff. We don't do it justice AT ALL.

And "they" (whoever "they" are) say that you should repaint stucco every five years. Egads.
