We have...BABIES! (And a bad case of Spring Fever.)
A quick trip down the hill today to Kathryn Albertson Park revealed the first Canada goose goslings I've seen this season. This mama was on a nest quite a bit off the path:
I watched them in absolute silence for a while before my solitude was rudely interrupted by a large family who clamored over, getting way too close, all four kids shouting "MA! BABY DUCKS! MA! DUCKS!" Scared the poor goose. <Sigh> People! Kids!
Anyway, she had the only babies I saw in the park today. I'll pop down again in a few days.
Patient and SILENT observation rewarded me with another mama who got up and rearranged her eggs right in front of me:

I imagine this turtle saying, "OOF!" (he looks quite high-centered there):
I love this tree's curly branches:

A couple of red-winged blackbirds:

Lovely forsythia:

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

The End.
