Skiing and Gourmet Dinner in Lovely McCall, Idaho!

Antonia, Christa, and I went to McCall (about 2 hours north of Boise) for a night to enjoy an afternoon of cross-country skiing and a fabulous catered gourmet dinner in a yurt within Ponderosa State Park on the shore of Payette Lake.

Driving along in the winter wonderland.

The view from the skis. So peaceful!

Antonia and Christa.

Christa and me.

Me, trying to glide. Ha! (Actually, for not being on cross-country skis in 16 years, I did very well!)

Heading back (dinnertime!).

The yurt. Tikki torches lit the way in the dark for the one-mile ski to the yurt.
Payette Lake lies beyond.

The view from my seat. Candles everywhere (no electricity). The camera flash ruins it, really.

Anticipating a well-earned dinner. Sesame asparagus, mango brie and crackers, grilled shrimp with mango and basil on wontons, spring salad with berries, feta, cucumber, and mint vinaigrette, Cornish hens, potatoes, and Kahlua chocolate cake. Jealous???

Happy day!
