Girls afternoon out/night in--featuring...LOBSTERS!
Saturday, Sue and I attended the last play of the Boise Contemporary Theater 2008-2009 season. The play was called "I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Written by a Young Woman from Rwanda". (Or something real close to that.) It was great! It was my favorite of the season, which got cut short by one play due to the economy. (Bummer! Stupid economy permeates everything!)
Sue and I celebrated our last "play date" with lobsters at my house. We have done lobster dinners two previous times. We have come a long way since the first time, when we were nervous, squealing, running from the pots (and if I remember correctly, I had to dispatch Sue's lobster for her!) Now we are cold blooded lobster killers, no problem.
Lobsters are indeed a luxury, but when you buy them live, spook the kid, take silly photos, and get scientifically entertained by poking around in lobster biology, it's worth the $20.
Wave hello, boys! (Or girls...what are they, anyway?) I'm assuming boys are the only ones kept by fishermen?
Kissy kissy, argh!
Sharing a moment.
Ready to eat.
I still like dungeness crab better. (Hey mom and dad! Let's plan a family trip to the northwest coast and do crab pots again! Seriously!)
