Halloween Preparations at the Porter Household
The air is crisp. The leaves are falling. The pumpkins have been chosen. Apple cider is bubbling away on the stove.
We are within the "one-week-to-rot" time frame, so what does that mean?
TIME TO BUTCHER SOME PUMPKINS!

1. Michele and Julia tackle the "Vampire Kitty" pumpkin. Julia looks a little too excited holding that knife!

2. For the second pumpkin, we chose the SCARIEST thing we could think of, but we feared the glasses and teeth would be too hard to carve.

3. So, instead, Travis and Julia begin work on the "Ghost" pumpkin. Julia, deeming the entire process "too icky", supervised the events while eating a bag of chips.

4. Even the pigs got a treat.

5. Finished 'kins.

6. Our newly-painted house color scheme is made for Halloween, yeah? Note the bats hanging from the awning.

7. The other pets just laid around. Brando knows that pumpkin isn't worth begging for.

8. Can I add that I think my cat has the prettiest eyes ever?
The end.
