The Porters Head for the Hills (well, mountains really)
Fourth of July weekend, 2008.
Travis, Michele, Julia, Michele's parents, and Sophie and Emma (Julia's cousins) went camping outside of Featherville, ID (about 2-1/2 hours from Boise in south central Idaho).
Here, in the Boise National Forest alongside the roaring South Fork of the Boise River, mud was played in, books were read, turns were taken in the hammock, beverages and carbohydrates were consumed, few bugs were slapped, two fish were caught (both by Emma), S'mores were assembled...
...all happening out of the 106-degree heatwave left behind in Boise!
